I suck

Yes, as you can see, I did abandon my blog. I got too busy, and it takes a lot of time researching House spoilers...plus I'm mad at the show right now with Lisa Edelstein leaving the show. I'll try to get it up and running again soon.

Synopses of Upcoming House Episodes

Unfortunately, House isn't new for the next two weeks. I know, I'm in mourning, too. But, here's the synopses for all the November episodes.

Monday, Nov. 8

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "Office Politics"

Amber Tamblyn joins HOUSE for a multi-episode arc as Martha Masters, a brilliant but inexperienced third-year medical student whom Cuddy forces House to hire as a female team member in Thirteen's absence. In the midst of a tight senatorial re-election race, the New Jersey incumbent's campaign manager (guest star Jack Coleman) mysteriously falls ill with liver failure and temporary paralysis. After a surprising campaign announcement is made by the incumbent (guest star Pat Finn), House and the team look to the candidate to find clues about the patient's condition. Meanwhile, Foreman (Omar Epps) learns that Taub (Peter Jacobson) has a past connection to Masters, and in an effort to save his patient's life, House must make a critical decision that may compromise his relationship with Cuddy.

Monday, Nov. 15

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "A Pox on Our House"

After a 200-year-old medicine jar found on an off-shore shipwreck shatters in a teenage girl's palm, she is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for symptoms closely linked to smallpox. When the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Broda (guest star Dylan Baker) institutes a lockdown on the hospital and suspends House's team's ability to diagnose, Masters (guest star Tamblyn) grows suspicious of Broda's motives and becomes convinced that the patient is suffering from a different disease. The girl's father soon experiences similar symptoms, and House is forced to make a precarious decision that puts his own life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and Sam (guest star Cynthia Watros) comfort a 6-year-old chemotherapy patient (guest star Devon Woods) who prompts them to examine their relationship.

Monday, Nov. 22

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "Small Sacrifices"

Science and faith are called into question when a patient (guest star Kuno Becker) is admitted to the hospital following his reenactment of the Crucifixion. Meanwhile, Taub questions his wife, Rachel (guest star Jennifer Crystal Foley), about her relationship with an infidelity support group member, and the team attends a co-worker's wedding where Wilson's relationship with Sam (guest star Watros) takes an unexpected turn.

The New Cameron

All new House tomorrow night! And, I really hate to be promoting another show that's on at the exact same time as House, but tomorrow night is also Jennifer Morrison's first episode of How I Met Your Mother. So, watch House, but if you have a DVR or watch shows online, check out Dr. Cameron's new gig.

In case you haven't already read or heard, Jennifer Morrison has a new job on another show, and the House producers have said it's unlikely she'll be returning to House at all. Starting tomorrow on HIMYM, she'll be playing a love interest of Ted's, and is here to stay for at least most of the season, and quoting one of the producers, her character marks a major turning point in the season. (Could she be the mother we've been waiting over 5 seasons to meet?)

So, get your DVRs ready, because there are two shows to watch for House fans tomorrow night. I also realized that in addition, Jennifer Grey is on two shows at once tomorrow night--guest starring on House and dancing on Dancing with the Stars. Interesting.

You can see the new Cameron in the promo below for tomorrow night's HIMYM 6.05 "Architect of Destruction."

House Episode 7.05 "Unplanned Parenthood" Sneak Peek Videos

Sneak peek time already!  Usually these promos go up on Thursday, but they're here already!

Enjoy.

BTW, in the last one, why is Wilson climbing out the window when there's doors right behind him?  Do they not open?

Thanks drhouseforum for posting these on youtube.

"Massage Therapy" Recap and Review

I think possibly "Massage Therapy" has been the best episode of House so far this season.  The premiere was probably the favorite of Huddy fans, but as far as a quality episode of House goes, "Massage Therapy" gets my vote for best episode so far.

So, in this episode there's three plot lines going on.  One, the patient, a young woman named "Margaret" who supposedly stole a woman's identity to hide from an abusive ex-husband.  We, however, eventually find that she's hiding an even bigger secret that causing her symptoms.  House's job would be so much easier if he wasn't always right when he says "Everybody lies."

I probably should have seen the diagnosis coming from the beginning.  While maybe her imagining someone was in the house may not have actually been caused by her condition since she was still on her meds at that point, I think it was still mean to be foreshadowing.  I, however, didn't see it coming until a few seconds before she said it.  Also, the scene where we first see her hallucinations was great, and a bit scary.  Those are the sort of things I have nightmares about.

Plot line two: Chase's new hire for the team.  Chase has hired Dr. Kelly Benedict, or Dr. Kelly as House calls her.  Unfortunately, Dr. Kelly is underqualified, which House, Taub, and Foreman all notice and aren't really happy with.  Chase pretty much just hired her because he likes her and wants to sleep with her.  House put her through a test, and she basically fails, despite her effort.  In the end, House says that he'll give her another chance, but she decides to quit knowing that she will eventually be fired, and Chase asks her out.

Onto the third plotline: House and Cuddy.  Cuddy has an issue (as she probably should) with the fact that House's massage therapist is also a hooker, and he has had sex with her in the past.  Cuddy wants him to find a new massage therapist, and House is resistant.  He asks Wilson for advice, Wilson says that he needs to learn to make sacrifices, and House, of course, ignores this and comes up with a different plan.  Instead, House sends a massage therapist to give Cuddy a massage in her office, a man who turns out to be a prostitute...a gay prostitute.  So, not exactly the same situation as Cuddy obviously wouldn't be having sex with a gay man...but I guess House figured it's close enough.

Cuddy accuses House of trying to keep her at a distance, and House says that she's actually the one who's doing that.  She won't let him sleep over at her house, and she won't let him be around Rachel.  She says that she doesn't want to let him into Rachel's life if there's a chance he's going to disappear.  In the end, House decides to give up his hooker massages, and Cuddy finally invites House to stay over.  The ending scene with them having dinner with Rachel and House's awkwardness with the kid sets up what we can expect from House's adventures in babysitting in next week's episode "Unplanned Parenthood".

I enjoyed the episode.  It felt like an episode of House.  It feels a bit like the season didn't really get into the swing of things until now.  So, that was nice, something has felt a little off with this season so far.

Let me know your thoughts on the episode!  Leave me comments, please.

New "Massage Therapy" Promo

Here's an alternate promo for "Massage Therapy" from Global TV. It's one of those where it's someone videotaping their TV screen, but it's still fun to watch. There's clips in it not in the Fox promo. Be sure to check out the Sneak Peek vids in my last post.

Thanks dp for posting the video.
