Synopses of Upcoming House Episodes

Unfortunately, House isn't new for the next two weeks. I know, I'm in mourning, too. But, here's the synopses for all the November episodes.

Monday, Nov. 8

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "Office Politics"

Amber Tamblyn joins HOUSE for a multi-episode arc as Martha Masters, a brilliant but inexperienced third-year medical student whom Cuddy forces House to hire as a female team member in Thirteen's absence. In the midst of a tight senatorial re-election race, the New Jersey incumbent's campaign manager (guest star Jack Coleman) mysteriously falls ill with liver failure and temporary paralysis. After a surprising campaign announcement is made by the incumbent (guest star Pat Finn), House and the team look to the candidate to find clues about the patient's condition. Meanwhile, Foreman (Omar Epps) learns that Taub (Peter Jacobson) has a past connection to Masters, and in an effort to save his patient's life, House must make a critical decision that may compromise his relationship with Cuddy.

Monday, Nov. 15

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "A Pox on Our House"

After a 200-year-old medicine jar found on an off-shore shipwreck shatters in a teenage girl's palm, she is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for symptoms closely linked to smallpox. When the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Broda (guest star Dylan Baker) institutes a lockdown on the hospital and suspends House's team's ability to diagnose, Masters (guest star Tamblyn) grows suspicious of Broda's motives and becomes convinced that the patient is suffering from a different disease. The girl's father soon experiences similar symptoms, and House is forced to make a precarious decision that puts his own life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and Sam (guest star Cynthia Watros) comfort a 6-year-old chemotherapy patient (guest star Devon Woods) who prompts them to examine their relationship.

Monday, Nov. 22

HOUSE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) - "Small Sacrifices"

Science and faith are called into question when a patient (guest star Kuno Becker) is admitted to the hospital following his reenactment of the Crucifixion. Meanwhile, Taub questions his wife, Rachel (guest star Jennifer Crystal Foley), about her relationship with an infidelity support group member, and the team attends a co-worker's wedding where Wilson's relationship with Sam (guest star Watros) takes an unexpected turn.

The New Cameron

All new House tomorrow night! And, I really hate to be promoting another show that's on at the exact same time as House, but tomorrow night is also Jennifer Morrison's first episode of How I Met Your Mother. So, watch House, but if you have a DVR or watch shows online, check out Dr. Cameron's new gig.

In case you haven't already read or heard, Jennifer Morrison has a new job on another show, and the House producers have said it's unlikely she'll be returning to House at all. Starting tomorrow on HIMYM, she'll be playing a love interest of Ted's, and is here to stay for at least most of the season, and quoting one of the producers, her character marks a major turning point in the season. (Could she be the mother we've been waiting over 5 seasons to meet?)

So, get your DVRs ready, because there are two shows to watch for House fans tomorrow night. I also realized that in addition, Jennifer Grey is on two shows at once tomorrow night--guest starring on House and dancing on Dancing with the Stars. Interesting.

You can see the new Cameron in the promo below for tomorrow night's HIMYM 6.05 "Architect of Destruction."

House Episode 7.05 "Unplanned Parenthood" Sneak Peek Videos

Sneak peek time already!  Usually these promos go up on Thursday, but they're here already!

Enjoy.

BTW, in the last one, why is Wilson climbing out the window when there's doors right behind him?  Do they not open?

Thanks drhouseforum for posting these on youtube.

"Massage Therapy" Recap and Review

I think possibly "Massage Therapy" has been the best episode of House so far this season.  The premiere was probably the favorite of Huddy fans, but as far as a quality episode of House goes, "Massage Therapy" gets my vote for best episode so far.

So, in this episode there's three plot lines going on.  One, the patient, a young woman named "Margaret" who supposedly stole a woman's identity to hide from an abusive ex-husband.  We, however, eventually find that she's hiding an even bigger secret that causing her symptoms.  House's job would be so much easier if he wasn't always right when he says "Everybody lies."

I probably should have seen the diagnosis coming from the beginning.  While maybe her imagining someone was in the house may not have actually been caused by her condition since she was still on her meds at that point, I think it was still mean to be foreshadowing.  I, however, didn't see it coming until a few seconds before she said it.  Also, the scene where we first see her hallucinations was great, and a bit scary.  Those are the sort of things I have nightmares about.

Plot line two: Chase's new hire for the team.  Chase has hired Dr. Kelly Benedict, or Dr. Kelly as House calls her.  Unfortunately, Dr. Kelly is underqualified, which House, Taub, and Foreman all notice and aren't really happy with.  Chase pretty much just hired her because he likes her and wants to sleep with her.  House put her through a test, and she basically fails, despite her effort.  In the end, House says that he'll give her another chance, but she decides to quit knowing that she will eventually be fired, and Chase asks her out.

Onto the third plotline: House and Cuddy.  Cuddy has an issue (as she probably should) with the fact that House's massage therapist is also a hooker, and he has had sex with her in the past.  Cuddy wants him to find a new massage therapist, and House is resistant.  He asks Wilson for advice, Wilson says that he needs to learn to make sacrifices, and House, of course, ignores this and comes up with a different plan.  Instead, House sends a massage therapist to give Cuddy a massage in her office, a man who turns out to be a prostitute...a gay prostitute.  So, not exactly the same situation as Cuddy obviously wouldn't be having sex with a gay man...but I guess House figured it's close enough.

Cuddy accuses House of trying to keep her at a distance, and House says that she's actually the one who's doing that.  She won't let him sleep over at her house, and she won't let him be around Rachel.  She says that she doesn't want to let him into Rachel's life if there's a chance he's going to disappear.  In the end, House decides to give up his hooker massages, and Cuddy finally invites House to stay over.  The ending scene with them having dinner with Rachel and House's awkwardness with the kid sets up what we can expect from House's adventures in babysitting in next week's episode "Unplanned Parenthood".

I enjoyed the episode.  It felt like an episode of House.  It feels a bit like the season didn't really get into the swing of things until now.  So, that was nice, something has felt a little off with this season so far.

Let me know your thoughts on the episode!  Leave me comments, please.

House 7.04 "Massage Therapy" Promo

I'm sure you've seen it already, but here's the promo for next week's House "Massage Therapy".

"Unwritten" Review

"Unwritten" was a fairly good episode of House.  It wasn't anything monumental or amazing, but rather felt like a normal episode of House.  Possibly slightly weak for the beginning of the season, but maybe my expectations have just gotten too high since House is such an amazing show.

BTW, if you don't want the episode totally spoiled, don't keep reading this review.  Of course, why would you even be on this blog if you didn't want spoilers?

I quite enjoyed how it was a mystery about a mystery writer.  I liked the opening scene.  The moment where we find out she was hallucinating the boy quite surprised me, it make me think, "ah, yeah, this is going to be good!"  I kept trying to figure out if she was meant to be based on (or have any sort of reference to) a real life author, but I came to the conclusion that rather it was merely a reference to the concept of teen book fads like Twilight or Harry Potter (mostly Twilight), and she was not really meant to be based on either Stephenie Meyer or JK Rowling.  I don't think that they would want to be insinuating that either of them would be likely to kill themselves.

I saw it coming that House was lying to her when he was offering her the chance to kill herself.  As if House would actually let her do that.  I was pleased to see she was still alive after the commercial break.

On another note, Chase's chick was nasty looking.  I would not call her a "smoking hot babe" as House did.  She looked like a whore.  Chase, you can do so much better than that.

On to House and Cuddy.  House says that it's a problem that he and Cuddy don't have anything in common besides work....uh, isn't being doctors who work together a major major thing to have in common?  (My boyfriend and I work together in the summers, and it makes me feel like we have everything in common.  Although, really we like very different things outside of that, but it totally doesn't matter.  Although, now that I think about it, he does tend to act like it's an issue if I mention that I don't like some movie or music that he likes.  As if that really matters.  So, maybe that's a guy concern?)

Cuddy was being pretty bitchy on their go-cart double date.  They're just go-carts, take a chill pill.  She was all super dramatic about a stupid seat belt hurting her. Really, though, I don't like go-carts that much either.  They always look like fun, but they all go the same speed, and it's really quite boring once you get out there.  There's not much actual racing going on.  Although, I guess that's the idea of stock car racing, but it's a lot more interesting when the cars go over 7 mph.  (Not that I like NASCAR or anything, but interesting for others.)  My point is that even though go-carts are kind of lame, she needed to just chill out and have some fun.

The ending of the episode felt slightly anti-climactic to me.  It was just like...and she's better now, the end.  I felt like I couldn't trust that she was really magically better and wouldn't want to kill herself anymore.  I don't know, what are your thoughts on this?   I did like House's comment to her at the end, though.  That was very nice of him to not be a total jackass and tell her the truth about her son, like he wanted to.

So, onto next week.  Please leave comments and tell me your thoughts about the episode, or your thoughts on my thoughts.  I would love to know if you agree or disagree.

House 7.02 "Selfish" Review

I went to write this review right after watching last night's episode, but then decided maybe it was better to let it sink in a little more.  Although, I'm not sure that I feel any differently than I did last night.

I liked "Selfish" for the most part.  It was amusing how House told everyone about Cuddy and him in the first 30 seconds of the episode (after telling Cuddy he wouldn't), but I usually find secrets in TV shows to be more entertaining...but they seem to have gone a different direction.  I did notice that House's act of blurting it out to the team had to have been premeditated, since he invited Wilson into the room (I'm assuming telling Wilson that he need his help on the case, which is why he was holding the folder, but really House just wanted to tell everyone together).

I liked the scene in Wilson's office where House is trying to convince Wilson that's he's not lying.  It was a twist on that scene that always seems to happen in romantic comedies (that never happens in real life), where everyone's like "Prove you're in love!  Let's see a kiss!" and then they're not happy with a peck, so they have to make out in front of them.  Like that ever happens in real life.  That would be so awkward.  Well, that's basically what Wilson is asking...but Cuddy takes it in a different direction.  Quite entertaining.

Throughout the episode, I was getting mad at House everytime he was being super submissive and obedient to Cuddy, I kept wanting him to just yell, which we find out is what the whole episode is leading up to.  I was pretty surprised that House was doing that at all, I mean really the benefit of being in a relationship with your boss is that you don't have to do that.  Let me explain with a anecdote about myself... I have two jobs.  With one job, I'm uncomfortable with my boss, and I usually act pretty fake at work, I suck up and always do what I'm told.  I, like everyone, get frustrated at work, and would very much like to yell at my boss sometimes, but I don't do that, because that could result in me getting fired.  So, I bottle it up, and then vent to other people.

On the other end of the spectrum, at my other job my boyfriend is my boss.  The great thing about this is that I'm not afraid to let him know how I feel about things.  We fight a lot about work things, but it works.  We don't keep anything bottled up.  I think we get a lot more done this way.  If everyone was always honest at work, we all would always have big fights with our bosses, but we really can't do that, unless we're comfortable enough with them.

So, my point is, that I was hoping this was the resolution the episode would come to, and was very glad when it did.  I was just surprised that that House and Cuddy were tiptoeing around each other in the first place, because I myself have never done that.

I liked how the episode went  full circle ending with House and Cuddy at the elevator, like the first scene, but I thought it felt slightly inconclusive with the family. I mean, I guess I can assume that since that's where the episode ended, that the girl gets her brother's lung, and she's good, but it seemed to be lacking in resolution a little to me.  It was also pretty sad, most House episodes have a happy ending with the patient, and this really wasn't one of those.  But that's fine, they shouldn't all be the same.  Most House episodes follow the exact same formula, so it's nice to see one that breaks that formula, even if it's only slightly.

I'm pretty anxious for next week.  It's the House/Cuddy  Wilson/Sam double date I've been anxiously awaiting ever since I saw promo photos forever ago, so I'm pretty excited.

Please leave comments with your thoughts on the episode, I would love to hear them.

Upcoming House Episodes

Here's the titles and synopses for the upcoming episodes:

7.2 Selfish: 9/27/10

When Della (Alyson Stoner), a seemingly healthy and active 14-year-old, suddenly collapses during a skateboarding exhibition, House and his team struggle to diagnose her condition and reassure her parents who already have to cope with their son's terminal illness. After her body rejects a donor lung, and with time running out to save her life, Della's family is left with little hope of securing a new donor and faced with a seemingly impossible decision regarding the fate of both children. Meanwhile, House tries to appease an elderly father and his son at the clinic, as he and Cuddy begin facing the challenges of taking their romantic relationship into the workplace.

7.3  Unwritten 10/4/10

When Alice (Amy Irving), the author of a popular children's book series, inexplicably suffers from a seizure moments before an attempt to take her own life, the Princeton-Plainsboro team faces the challenges of evaluating both her underlying medical conditions, as well as her unstable psychological state. Unable to diagnose Alice, House becomes particularly motivated, as he's a fan of her books, and is convinced that the key to unlocking the mysteries of Alice's condition lies in the pages of her most recent novel. Meanwhile, House takes Cuddy on a double date with Wilson and his girlfriend, Sam (guest star Cynthia Watros), and makes a discovery that proves that life imitates art as the couple continues to make compromises in order to make their relationship work.

7.4  "Massage Therapy"  10/11/10

7.5  "Unplanned Parenthood"    10/18/10

The last two don't seem to have synopses yet, if you've seen any, let me know.

"Selfish" Sneak Peeks!! Three of them!

Here's some awesome sneak peeks for Monday's House: "Selfish"

I've noticed through my incessant promo watching that just because it's in a promo, doesn't mean it's in the episode.  I remember in an early promo for season 7, it started with a shot of Cuddy's scrubs and House's jacket on the floor of House's apartment, which was not in season premiere.  I also noticed that in the promos, when House says the title line "Now what?" the camera angle was from the side, but in the actual episode, it was directly above.  Also, in the promo for "Selfish" House says "I'm seeing Cuddy" in a wideshot, whereas, as you'll see in this sneak peek, it's a totally different shot.  Also, in the promo he said "Generally without any clothes on", and now in this sneak peek, he says "Generally without her clothes on."  So, apparently promos are not taken from the actual episodes, but rather from the cutting room floor and they are apparently able to use other takes of the same scene.  I think though, we can trust that these sneak peeks are of the scenes as they will appear in the actual episode when it airs on Monday.

Australian Promo for House 7.02 Selfish

Here's the Australian promo for 7.02 Selfish, which will be on Monday (in the US, Wed in Australia).  It's much shorter than the Fox promo, but it has some new scenes in it I haven't seen before.

I apologize to any Australians reading this, but the voiceovers with the Aussie accents make me laugh.

Goodbye Cameron

I thought I've been keeping up with all the House information, but I hadn't read until yesterday what's going on with Jennifer Morrison/Cameron.  In case you haven't heard, the producers have said it's very unlikely that Cameron will be back at all because of Jennifer Morrison's new role on How I Met Your Mother, which ironically is on at the exact same time as House...interesting.

How I Met Your Mother is actually another favorite show of mine, generally on Mondays I watch House live, and then DVR HIMYM and watch it as soon as House is over.  But it seems as though my two Monday shows are now combining.  Interesting how HIMYM is now influencing House plots.  Katie Jacobs said that while they do have the option to bring back Cameron for a few episodes this season, it is unlikely that they will because she's busy with her new show.

If you are into HIMYM, Jennifer will be playing a major love interest of Ted's starting 4 episodes from now, which according to the producers, is a "major turning point in the show", so she may possibly be playing the mother we've been waiting 5 seasons to meet.  She's supposed to be a regular character in the show for at least most of the season.  If you've watched the show, you may be noticing a recurring theme here: that Ted's long term relationships on the show seem to be with doctors from other TV shows.  His last girlfriend was Stella, played by Sarah Chalke, AKA Dr. Elliot Reid from Scrubs...and now Jennifer Morrison, AKA Dr. Allison Cameron from House.  Hmm...

Is Thirteen Coming Back, You Ask?

So, I was looking at the various search queries that lead people to my blog, and a ton of people have been searching for info on Thirteen, and when and if Olivia Wilde will be back.  So, the answer is: yes, she will be back, I think in about 10 episodes is what I've read.  So, expect her back probably in December.

She's just leaving temporarily to film Cowboys and Aliens, which I just read takes place in Arizona, but it's being filmed in New Mexico.  As a native Arizonan, I hate when they do this.  Arizona has a very distinct look, and no other state looks like it.  Any movie that takes place in AZ but isn't filmed on location is riddled with fake Saguaros, which look nothing like real Saguaros (they make me cringe!)  But anyway....back to House.

Here's a sort of goodbye video from Olivia Wilde on the set of House promising that she'll be back. A weird thing is that I always feel like I know Olivia Wilde because she looks almost exactly like one of my close friends. So, I watch this and feel like I know her.

My Review of the House Season 7 Premiere, plus a summary if you really want to know all the details (MAJOR Spoiler Alert!)

So, I think I probably ought to give my review of last night's season premiere.  So, if your one of those who lives in another country and has yet to see the premiere, this is a spoiler warning.  Since it's already premiered, I'm not going to hold back any details.  So, if you don't want to know things, skip this post.

So, I have mixed feelings about last night's episode.  The side of me that is Huddy crazy loved it, and the side of me that fell in love with the show House in the first place was kind of dissapointed.  The episode was definitely not very House-y.

I loved that they really spent time on House and Cuddy, but I wish the medical mystery of the episode actually meant something.  It was just an unexciting unimportant subplot that I didn't really care about.  It seemed like it was only thrown in there to give the team some sort of role in the episode.  However, I did think that it was really cool that for once the team solved something on their own without House at all, since most of the time they rely on him.  So, that was great for them, and I am glad that Thirteen was there for one last episode before she leaves for half the season.  (Which I sad about, she's one of my favorite characters.  I miss her already).

So, I would say that Huddy fans probably loved the episode, but I am a Huddy fan, and I don't think I would say that.  I mean, I loved certain parts of it, and would watch scenes over again (and already have), but as a whole, it wasn't really a great episode.  When it ended, it was kind of like "That's it?"  It left me feeling like it was missing something, and I felt like nothing happened.  I looked at the clock at 7:50, and was like "There's only 10 minutes left?  But like nothing has happened!"  I don't want to feel that way at the end of a House episode.  But then again, hours later when I was trying to sleep, all I could think about was some great scenes that I wanted to watch again.

If you have thoughts on the episode, please leave me a comment, I would love to hear other people's opinions.

So, if you want to know what happened in the episode, here's a summary.  If you don't want to know, skip this part:

The episode starts off with a recap of the season 6 finale, ending with the last shot of House and Cuddy holding hands.  Then the episode starts with them still holding hands, not more than a few minutes later, but now they're in the bedroom.  Cuddy says she needs to rebandage House's wound or it'll get infected, she takes off his shirt, and this basically leads to sex.  It actually shows a lot less of the sex than I thought it was going to, and it cuts to afterwards, where House asks "Now what?"  Cut to the new opening sequence that actually has the current cast's names in it.

After the opening, it goes right back to House and Cuddy.  Cuddy says she needs to get to work, then her new assistant calls her to say that their neurosurgeon is sick and puking in the OR.  But, House answers her phone, saying he's the nanny, and that Cuddy is sick in the bathroom, and tells the assistant what to do on her behalf.  Cuddy decides that maybe she doesn't need to rush off to work after all...

Cuddy tells House that the sick neurosurgeon is a huge issue because if they don't have a neurosurgeon on site, they are not qualified as a Level 1 Trauma Center.  (Seems like they would have more than one neurosurgeon then, but whatever, I guess we're supposed to suspend our disbelief.)  To try to keep Cuddy from going to work (I think), House calls Chase and tells him to pretend to be a neurosurgeon (which doesn't work, apparently the assistant has looked into Chase and already knows that he's not).  So, the team's next step is to try and heal the sick neurosurgeon (which becomes their case and the mystery of the episode...just not a very interesting one).

Back to House and Cuddy...House makes some sorry attempts at being romantic.  It's pretty much a train wreck.  Kind of like a car crash you can't look away from.  He draws Cuddy a bath (which I'm pretty sure he poured mouthwash into) makes her breakfast (which I don't even know what the hell that was, apparently House does not keep his fridge well stocked), and tries to open champagne with a saber (which shatters and champagne goes all over the place.)

Meanwhile, Wilson is worried about House and has been trying to call him.  House hasn't been answering, so Wilson shows up at the door, but House ignores it saying he'll go away.  Then Wilson calls him while at the door, and knows that he's there because he can hear his phone ringing through the door.  House answers pretending to be his answering machine (a pretty funny little scene).  House thinks Wilson is gone, and he and Cuddy have sex again.  Afterwards, Cuddy is annoyed that House wouldn't just let Wilson in, thinking that House is trying to hide her from him.  She doesn't want their relationship to be a secret.

Then Wilson breaks in...sort of.  He's apparently not very experienced at the art of breaking and entering.  House finds him stuck in the kitchen window.  This is probably the best scene of the episode.  There's a  funny little moment when House is helping Wilson in.  House says that he has been busy "having sex with his girlfriend" (which I thought was interesting he's already using that word) and Wilson asks "Since when did you start referring to hookers as girlfriends?"

House says that Cuddy's there and Wilson doesn't believe him for one second, and just assumes that he's on vicodin again and is hallucinating (again).  House leads Wilson to the bedroom, but she's suddenly not there.  So, to Wilson, it seems as though House is hallucinating Cuddy again.  Wilson examines House, but sees no signs of him being on drugs (since he's not), and House says that he was lying, not hallucinating.  Wilson leaves, and House finds Cuddy hiding in the closet, where she went realizing she might be pressuring House into telling people about their relationship.

Meanwhile, the team is trying to figure out what is making Dr. Richardson (the neurosurgeon) sick.  They give him some sort of drug that makes him high out of his mind, and not in any shape to perform surgery, as he keeps stripping...  This whole time they are also talking about how Thirteen has asked for some time off (which House actually doesn't know about yet, but the whole team does).  Foreman spies on her, figures out that she is going to Rome for a Huntington's trial (well, that's what he's lead to believe she's doing).  Chase asks Thirteen if she'll have sex with him before she leaves (which was pretty weird and out of the blue), she basically says no.

House and Cuddy play Boggle (I think it was Boggle), and during the game, Cuddy reveals she is concerned that House has not said "I love you", even though she has said it twice.  House is resistant (I don't think he really likes to be pressured into things), but spells out "IloBeyou" with the game blocks.  Cuddy says he gets one point for "lobe".  The next time it cuts back to them, they're naked in bed (remember the screen shot where House is wearing only a laptop?), so one can assume they had sex again.  House is looking up a vacation to France, insisting they should leave right away, but Cuddy says that that is ridiculous, she has a baby for goodness sake (by the way, I assume Rachel is with the nanny this whole time, but what, is this a live in nanny?)  She says that they can go in a few weeks, so that she has time to make arrangements for the baby.

Back to the team at the hospital.  An inspector (or whoever he is) has come because Cuddy's lame-ass assistant reported that they do not have a neurosurgeon at the hospital.  They try to act like Dr Richardson is fine and prepping for surgery, but he's still high out of his mind, and freaks out and strips off his clothes right in front of the inspector.  The guy says that because of this, their patients are going to have to be transferred to other hospitals, and people coming into the ER will be redirected.  Eventually, the team figures out what was wrong with Richardson (whatever it was, I barely cared), and they cure him, he's back to normal, and the hospital is saved.  The case was so uninteresting that I don't remember it ended up being, but I was proud of the team for doing something without House to guide them.

Back to House and Cuddy.  Cuddy goes to leave, and House stops her saying "This isn't going to work."  To keep up some sense of suspense, it then cuts to commercial.  It comes back, and House explains that he thinks she seems to think he must have changed because of what he said to the girl before amputating her leg in the last episode, but that he hasn't changed, and that he's never going to.  He says that he's done horrible things to Cuddy in the past and will do horrible things again in the future, and that their relationship can't possibly work.

In response, Cuddy says "I don't want you to change." She says that he's "the most incredible man she's ever known, and will always be the most incredible man she's ever known."  Super cheesy, but sweet.  She goes to leave, and House stops her and says "I love you."  (Which, I figured out at the beginning, that this episode was going to be leading up to this moment.)

Back to the hospital, the team got a cake for Thirteen (which says Happy Bar Mitzvah), but apparently she's not coming to her own going away "party".  Foreman found out that she's not going to Rome after all, after he called the hospital there and they hadn't heard of her.  He tried calling her, but her phone was disconnected.  So, the big question is, where is Thirteen?  Where is she actually going?  We don't know yet.

Back at House's apt, Cuddy is actually leaving, she says "It's going to be great," and leaves with them both smiling.  But, after the door is closed, their smiles fade into concerned looks, as I think is fitting.  I think we're all concerned.

There you have it.  A much more thorough summary than what I ever intended to write.  It was nice for the Huddy fan, but I think I was primarily disappointed because of last years season premiere, which I like to refer to as "House: The Movie."  Season 6's two hour premiere was so significant and monumental, that I guess I was expecting this year's to live up to that, but it unfortunately fell short.  Oh well, there's always next week.

O Happy Day!

Happy House Day, everyone!  Unfortunately, I live on the west coast, so I still have 4 hours and 39 minutes to go.

To gear myself up for House today, I watched my favorite episodes on DVD last night: No Reason (season 2 finale), then I felt the need to watch the Season 3 premiere after that, then I watched the other two favorites: House's Head and Wilson's Heart (Finale of season 4). So, what are your favorites? (I would love some comments!)

Watching several episodes of House last night, plus the fact that I'm very excited for tonight, led to a series of bizarre dreams about House last night. This time it was the ones where it's real life and I'm in the world of House. There was one in particular that has stuck in my mind where House and Taub had switched bodies. Not that they actually switched bodies, but it was that House looked like Peter Jacobson and Taub looked like Hugh Laurie. It was pretty bizarre. Has anyone else every dreamed about House, or am I the only crazy one here?

So, there's lots of things I could post right now, but I'm not going to.  The new stuff I've found are reviews from people who have already seen the episode...several of which describe every thing that happens in the episode, completely ruining it.  I read a few things I really wish I hadn't.  So, I'm choosing not to post them until after tonight's episode, because you can wait a few more hours.  If you've watched all the promos, you've seen enough, you don't need a scene by scene breakdown of the episode when it's going to be on shortly and you can enjoy it then.

I would like to post this video, that's sort of interviews with the cast mixed with clips from promos.  I've already seen most of it before in separate bits and pieces, but this video with it all together was just released.

Happy House Eve, everyone!

It's House eve and here's some new promos to watch. Not too too exciting. The first one actually just came on my TV as I'm typing this, so it's real! It was on during the Simpsons, which I am actually only watching right now for House promos. But, it's already been put online anyway. The one on my TV had a regular Fox House title screen at the end, rather than the local station's ending that is in this one posted online.

The second one is a weird-ass football game promo where the game announcer is reciting the voice over for the promo. It's really bizarre. But, watch them if you're obsessed and have to see all the promos. If you just want to see decent ones, look in my earlier posts. There's over 20 different promos and some sneak peek scenes, just in case you haven't seen them.

Thanks Mshousefan!

Are you ready?

Here to post yet again. Here's a video I found that really got me in the mood for new House. I also saw several Huddy videos...but they were all very cheesy. This one is just fun and very Housey. Thanks, NCISmelanie.

The end is near!

The last day!

Today's the last day of waiting for season 7 of House!  Here's some behind the scenes photos:

2 days, 4 hours, 13 minutes and 7 seconds

Just the weekend left!  Are you excited?  This isn't normal to say, but I want the weekend to go by quickly so that it can be Monday.

I'm wondering if love for the show is an unhealthy obsession (although I know that there are people WAY more obsessed and crazy than I am).  But lately, I keep dreaming about House (the show, not the person).  Sometimes I'm dreaming that I'm watching House, sometimes I'm in the show as if it's real life, and sometimes it's a TV show but I'm working on the set of the show.  The dreams where I'm watching an episode are weird, because it's as if it's a new episode, but it's completely nonsensical.  I recently had one that Cuddy was fired from the hospital, and took a job working at a movie theatre...but she wore a lab coat while serving popcorn.  Completely realistic, of course.

Anyway, there's no new promos to share, but here's a photo I saw a while ago, but haven't posted until now.  All I can think about is how that laptop would be really hot on his lap.  I usually have mine on a pillow because it burns if it's on my legs.

Nope, not done yet. Yet another House season 7 promo.

Ahaha, I knew that wasn't going to be the last promo! Here's another one just posted...but it's not really exciting. You've seen it all before if you've watched all the other promos, it's sort of just a shortened version of another one. And it's for a local station. But, I'm going to post it anyway so we can see how many more we can possibly get in the next 3 days.

Everything's Changed

Well, I thought maybe those awesome sneak peeks were going to be the last of the promos, but alas, here's one more. It seems like maybe it's the last one, because it says "the night you've been waiting for is here"...but you never know, they might make 8 more promos over the weekend seeing as how they've gone promo crazy this summer with over 20 different videos.

So, here's the new promo! I think it's number 21 or something like that. And if you haven't caught the other 20, watch them right here on this blog!

It's a short promo, and not a super exciting one, but there is a scene with House and Wilson we haven't seen before.

Some really awesome sneak peeks!!

Hey!  I got some really cool videos!  They're SNEAK PEEKS of Now What, not promos, but sneak peeks.  That means full scenes...and three of them!  YEAH!  I'm starting to feel like with these and the 20 gajillion promos...that I've already seen the full episode already.

I also would like to mention that when I looked at the public view of my blog just now one of the ads happens to be an ad for House. How extremely appropriate. (I should mention that I have nothing to do with the ads and they change every time the page is opened. Usually they're for something stupid.)

House Season 7 Premiere Review

Here's a review I came across from someone who's already watched the premiere (and the second episode, apparently).  It's only mildly spoilery, I think it's safe to read.  And if you really don't want to know anything about what happens...then you wouldn't be on the blog anyway.

Review: 'House' Season 7 Premiere

POSTED BY Fred Topel | MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13 AT 4:06 PDT

I’m not spoiling anything for “House” fans by saying that House and Cuddy got together at the end of last season. That’s what we’ve been waiting six years for and spent all summer thinking about.

I’ll discuss it vaguely, so skip this if you don’t want to know ANYTHING. I love the way they came back, I love the way they handled it, I love the character moments it offered for both actors. There, is that too spoiler-y? Oh, can I say it’s hot too? Something that happens in this episode is hot. But I won’t ruin the dirty details, I'll just give you the skinny.

More after the jump...
The opening delivers the drama we want. After the credits, House is back to his witty, irreverent self. House and Cuddy are really good together when they’re on the same team. It shows there’s just as much drama and humor when two people connect as when they butt heads. Things happen throughout the episode that play with our emotions and expectations. It’s sweet in a “House” kind of way that rewards the viewers for keeping up and doesn’t do any of that cheesy stuff.

The rest we’ll have to talk about after you see it yourself. Seriously though, I need someone to talk to about it. So Monday at 9:01 hit me up on Twitter @fredtopel. I can’t keep this in any longer.

There’s hospital business and the team at work. The Thirteen situation develops too. All this brings with it mini-diagnostics. They have to solve administrative problems, and some people involved have medical conditions.

Luckily the studio also sent the second episode so I got a little bit of a sense of how this season will proceed after the emotional powerhouse of a premiere. Of course it’s more of a standard “House” case where something happens before the credits and they spend the rest of the episode solving it. It’s not the first thing they think it is, but House figures it out by applying a personal conversation to the diagnosis.

Those said personal scenes do continue the conflicts set up in of the season premiere. So that’s good. They don’t leave you hanging, they deal with things but they don’t make it overbearing. House is perfect mouthing off to those situations, and he uses it for good riffs in the diagnosis scenes. Cuddy is great, Wilson and the team’s reactions are great. Everyone acts like their well-defined characters would and it hints at human philosophy and ethical issues. It’s no closure. It just opens up more juicy possibilities.

God, I want to talk about this. You guys are gonna love it though. Seven years and they still find cool ways to twist the formula, relevant issues to deal with and humor that has more answers than any “serious” talk.

“House” returns September 20 at 8/7C on Fox.
